Updated Clinical Data from the ACCENT Study: Four additional Complete Responses
Amplia Therapeutics has announced updated data from its ACCENT trial in advanced pancreatic cancer, evaluating narmafotinib in combination with chemotherapy.
Following independent central review using internationally recognised criteria, five complete responses (CRs) have now been confirmed, representing a CR rate of 7.8% - unprecedented in this indication. The Objective Response Rate (ORR) has also been updated to 35.9%.
Median Overall Survival (mOS) has been determined at 11.1 months, representing an approximate two-month improvement compared to the chemotherapy backbone alone.
Importantly, these outcomes compare favourably to both historical and recent studies, with mOS aligning with the recent results from the NAPOLI 3 study, which supported approval of the NALIRIFOX regimen by the U.S. FDA.
The Company has been selected to present ACCENT trial data at the annual meeting of the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) meeting to be held April 17-22 in San Diego, California.
Amplia CEO and Managing Director, Dr Chris Burns, commented on the latest results:
“These latest data from the ACCENT trial clearly demonstrate the significant clinical benefit of narmafotinib. The unprecedented 7.8% rate of CR's in the first line setting provides new hope for patients with this very aggressive cancer and provides further strong support for the benefit that narmafotinib can bring when combined with other treatment modalities. We look forward to presenting a detailed analysis of the ACCENT trial at the forthcoming AACR conference.”
