Preclinical findings on narmafotinib in pancreatic cancer published online
Preclinical findings describing comprehensive preclinical studies of narmafotinib in models of pancreatic cancer is now available online.
The manuscript, from Professor @Paul Timpson and colleagues at the @Garvan Institute of Medical Research, details extensive research into the mechanisms through which narmafotinib may act in pancreatic cancer.
Across multiple preclinical models, the findings included:
reduced tumour fibrosis
enhanced anti-tumour activity in combination with chemotherapy
reduced cancer dissemination and metastatic spread
downregulation of genes associated with chemotherapy resistance
The publication further strengthens the biological rationale for combining narmafotinib with chemotherapy and supports Amplia’s ongoing clinical development programs in pancreatic cancer.
