Preclinical findings on narmafotinib in pancreatic cancer published online

Preclinical findings describing comprehensive preclinical studies of narmafotinib in models of pancreatic cancer is now available online. 

The manuscript, from Professor @Paul Timpson and colleagues at the @Garvan Institute of Medical Research, details extensive research into the mechanisms through which narmafotinib may act in pancreatic cancer. 

Across multiple preclinical models, the findings included: 

• reduced tumour fibrosis 

• enhanced anti-tumour activity in combination with chemotherapy 

• reduced cancer dissemination and metastatic spread 

• downregulation of genes associated with chemotherapy resistance 

The publication further strengthens the biological rationale for combining narmafotinib with chemotherapy and supports Amplia’s ongoing clinical development programs in pancreatic cancer.
