Amplia appoints Brett Carter to the Board of Directors

Amplia is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced biopharmaceutical executive Brett Carter as a non-executive director. 

Mr Carter brings more than 25 years’ global experience across oncology drug development, corporate strategy and business development. His career includes 11 years with GSK in London, where he worked in the global corporate transactions team on major licensing, acquisition, investment and divestment transactions across Europe, Asia and the United States. 

He was subsequently CEO of the Cancer Therapeutics Cooperative Research Centre, where Amplia’s drug assets were discovered, and was involved in the licensing of an oncology program to Pfizer in a deal valued at up to US$670 million. 

Mr Carter is currently COO of Melbourne-based Medicines Development for Global Health, a director of Greywolf Therapeutics Australia, and a strategic adviser to Australian life sciences companies. He holds an MBA from London Business School, a BSc from RMIT University, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
